Great place considering this is San Lorenzo, decent and good service, they've never let me down esp since I'm pregnant and my taste buds are just off, this place serves it up and then some, they also listen when you ask them to not use their spice but just soya sauce and garlic, awesome!!!

Great place, great food. I went with two friends. We were seated write away, and the staff there was prompt in taking our order. Nice ambience, though kind of plain. I didn't get to sit next to the fishies haha. The food was hot and tasted very good :). They had a wide selection of lunch specials, which was priced well for the amount of food we received :)The one thing that prevents a five start was the staff. They all appeared quite stern.. not mean, but it seemed like they just wanted to work efficiently and being a bit more courteous was not possible.I will come back! :)

Pretty decent. I only go here 'cause it's literally 3minuts away from my house. Got chowmein & broccoli beef to go. I like the chowmein, but I think most people would say it's plain. Didn't try the beef 'cause I got full, but my grandma said it was good.Proportions looked kind of small for 13.50$, but it was way too much for my grandma & I. But then again, we don't eat too much.I want to give it a better rating just because it's one of the few places in SLZ that's still around, but there's nothing that sticks out about it to me.a

Bad service and to go food order doesn't get made until you come in to pay for it. On top of that when your to go's order are ready you have to go to pick it up from over the counter yourself not the waitress handing it over to you. Not coming back!!!

Good Chinese resturant that is currently my regular take-out place. I have my favorites here-Singapore noodles, bbq pork clay pot, shrimp w/veggies, black-bean fish and a few others. Sticking to those typically means success. Nothing about it is authentic, that's how we Americans expect it. Don't take a date here, try the take-out and run home to watch a movie and grub.

Solid Chinese food. Lots of choices. Don't be intimidated if the place looks empty. It's a huge place and good for large groups. They have a huge base of take out customers. If your not big on experimenting, I recommend the Dinner for Two or Feast for Two, both can be scaled up depending on the size of your group.

I will never eat here again. I ate here for the first time the other night and ordered 4 different entrees. While eating the sesame chicken, I found two different pieces with hair attatched...not just on top but through them! I called back to complain and they told me they would not refund me, but make me a new one the next day. I told them I didn't want to eat anymore of their food. Her response was that they will not refund me because I already ate some of the chicken. I told her I would not have eaten any of it had I known there would be hair attached. After a long argument, and the associate talking to the owner, they finally allowed me to come down for a refund, but I had to bring the food back to prove the hair was there. Horrible service and the food wasn't even that good. If I could give 0 stars I would

I have been there three times because friends gave rave reviews.. had some good dishes here..eg., prawns with veggies; however, the last time I had the barbecue pork..meat tough as shoe leather. The egg roll thing served with the lunch was cold. When they are fresh they are quite good and crispy. Re-fried rice good. I don't think that I'll be going back.,

Peking Garden is a decent Chinese restaurant. Its dishes are mostly catered to Western tastes, meaning that a lot of it is stir fried items in a thick, brown gravy sauce. Not bad, and still very tasty, but, if you're looking for "authentic" stuff, this is probably not the place you should go. If you're with people who may not enjoy the awesome aroma that is Stinky Tofu, this would be a good place to eat at.I've only been here at lunch, and, depending on the day, it can be quite busy. Although the tables and tableware have been well used, they are clean and decently mantained (except for the one seat with duct tape on it...).Service is fast, and if you go to the restaurant a few times, the servers usually can recognize you and know exactly what you want to order. Lunch usually comes within 10-15 minutes of having placed your order and price-wise, it's about the same as buying a combo meal at McDonalds. Food portions are quite large, though a good portion of lunch special plate is rice. Lunch sets come with soup, fried won ton skins or an egg roll. The choice of soup depends on the day. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, they serve a really good chicken and corn soup. The staff doesn't mind substituting items, if possible. I generally ask them to substitute chicken for the Beef in their Beef with Broccoli dish, and my mother usually asks them to hold the peppers in their Cashew Chicken. When you order, keep your English simple as some of the servers are not as fluent as others.Overall, the service and food is good. You could do worse in San Lorenzo.

I was Craving a Rib eye Steak But my favorite Steak Joint was Closed today . So I figured I would eat Chinese for dinner tonight and give Peking Garden a try . I roll past them all the time . Just never had stopped by. I grabbed my Weekend Whip and rolled to San Lorenzo. Peking Garden is located in an older Strip mall. I was able to park right in front.I rolled in and was greeted and seated. I was presented with a Menu and a Pot of Tea. I perused the Menu and ordered Salt and Pepper Pork Chops and Asparagus Beef in Black Bean Sauce with Steamed Rice.Peking Garden has a few interesting features : They have a live tank for Fresh Seafood and the Second is an Open Air Kitchen where you can see the Chefs cooking your orders up fresh. There were 2 Chefs cooking . One was a very experienced Master and the Other one looked like his Assistant . The Master was working the Wok like an Iron Chef with a Masters Degree in Wokology . Flames were flying in the Air as was Food and Spices . It was joy to see the Old Master Chef in Action. His Assistant Chef was also whipping food and Woks around . They were a well tuned team . After they had Cooked my food they both cleaned their Woks old school style and correct. Those Woks were well seasoned if only they could talk Yum.My food arrived 12 minutes later Piping Hot and very well seasoned . The Salt and Pepper Pork Chops were so Tender and Yummy. The Asparagus Beef was just outstanding so many flavors. Chinese Comfort Food at its best.My bill was brought to me Old School style - on a plate with a Fortune Cookie and 2 Slices of Oranges.I paid by Visa and rolled off in my Weekend Whip.Damn I love my life lol.

This place is dirty. I found a whole lip stick stain on my glass of water! This is not real Chinese food. I can find way better wonton soup than this place when the wonton itself is falling apart in the soup itself before even serving it. The sweet and sour pork was overload with crap instead of actually pork inside. The pot sticker's skin was way too thick and tasteless. But the chicken fried rice and cashew chicken was fine.

It's really a 2.5, but I'll be nice because I've lived in San Lorenzo the whole 42 years of my life... I hope their service and food improves as they stay in San Lorenzo.... on that note.....I was there at 1:30. There were only 3 tables of customers (the place holds over 100) anyway...........I'm taking off 2.5 stars because of the following:I walked in to place a to go order.. I'm chastized for not calling in the order. (weird) And I walked in with a smile, and said "This is like a call in order, because I have to run up the street to buy something and I'll be back in 20 minutes.." And, I was VERY polite and nice to the lady, and I did not want to take up space on their couch waiting for my order..So, I proceed to ask if I can get veggie foo young with just egg whites (watching the cholesterol).. she walks off and talks secretly with someone and then comes back and with a very phony smile, says, "noooo, we no do that here"... so I said, "oh that's ok, I'll take the veggie egg foo young, and...." then she interrups me and says, "WHAT ELSE?" And, you know, I've been to a zillion chinese restaurants and I was just perusing the menu to see what else I may like....So, I say "I'll get an order of chicken fried rice, and.." and she says again, "WHAT ELSE".. and I wasn't even going slowly, she just kept interrupting me.. it was SO WEIRD (and kinda rude)..So, I said, "Can you make the eggplant with no pork and subsitute tofu instead?" She says, "NO! that's not a tofu dish!" Oooh, so sorry I asked.. 88 Chinese up on Channel Street does that..but I did not say that to her.. oh ya and Tin Fu will make anything I want with tofu.. Tin Fu is almost happy to do tofu substitutions.. Duh, tofu's cheaper than meat..Anyway, I just ended up ordering the eggplant with no meat. The food was not ready when I got back, and had to wait an extra 11 minutes. 31 minutes total.... no biggie, it was going to be nice and hot.. I've got the time. So, I get home and the rice is very tasty (picked out some of the chicken and gave it to a friend) and the eggplant was delicious. But the veggie egg foo young was like a pancake... it was almost all flour in the batter.. I was looking for a good shot of protein to go with the rice and eggplant.. but anyway, they gave me the sauce on the side and it was filled with veggies which was good.. I just wish the 1 (one) patty was thicker and not so chock full of flour. and they only gave one... All the other places give to big patties or 3 medium ones..Whatever.I'm sticking to Tin Fu in Hayward or 88 Chinese on Channel St in San Lorenzo.

The first time my family and I had been in there, they took 20 minutes to just take our order when there was nobody else in there and than took 45 minutes to just give us our orders. The second time, still the same treatment so don't bother and the food is not even good. It's only editable when you're starving and have nothing else to eat.?
